I was referred to Dr Aldin for a Prostate Artery Embolisation. I found Dr Aldin explanation of the procedure very helpful and lucid. The procedure was carried out with empathy by Dr Aldin and his staff, it was performed professionally and with the minimum of discomfort. The aftermath to the procedure I found that I had no pain or discomfort and did not even have to take pain killing tablets once. My symptoms are showing improvement and I am sure will continue to do so. I have every faith in Dr Aldin and his staff, I found them very caring and approachable, I have no problem in advising fellow sufferers to have this procedure. Chris Miles

After suffering for the last seven years with an enlarged prostrate and having had two biopsy which was not a nice procedure and having to keep going to the toilet every two hours which was not nice and constantly worrying ,I would have a wee and the about ten minutes later would want to go again ,my consultant suggested I see dr aldin which I did and have a prostrate arterial embolisation which I had six weeks ago although not pleasant at the time I now do not need to keep visiting the toilet and most nights get a full nights sleep and it’s only early days yet. A very relieved patient . Many thanks that I can start leading a normal life .

Dr Zaid Aldin managed my care from the explanation of the procedure, through to the CT scan, the pre-assessment, and the procedure itself. I chose to have a sedative, mainly because I felt I would get fidgety given the possible length of time I would have to lay still but, other than that, I was not particularly worried about the procedure itself or post-op recovery. Indeed, post-operatively speaking, in the event for me it was almost like I hadn't had an operation. I did have the same symptoms of poor flow for a few days after the op and these were a little stronger than before. I also has a mild fever on the third day, but I never needed to use the strong pain killers Dr Aldin prescribed - just an occasional dose paracetamol over the first few days. By the end of the first week the flow had for the most part dramatically improved. Now after seven weeks the flow is great, and I do not have to wait for the flow to start off by encouraging my bladder area to relax - it’s just like turning a tap on - one second no flow then the next second full flow! I thoroughly recommend the op, and the doctor! Good luck! Calvin

Mr Aldin is a very nice, considered, empathetic and highly skilled Radiologist. He performed a Prostatic Artery Embolisation on me at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Harlow which so far has been a great success. I had a large prostate and was having sleepless nights and restrictions on my daily plans/holidays due to problems with blocked catheters and infections etc. The procedure is non invasive (day case), no surgery and no/minimal pain afterwards. What is there not to advocate. The procedure has a great success rate and is not widely known about - why not I have no idea - surely it should be considered in the first instance as opposed to surgery. Amazing procedure, amazing doctor in my experience.
